Kerygma Staff
Our staff is comprised of competent student writers and editors, each contributing in an important way.
There are multiple positions a staff writer may obtain:
Writer: This person is responsible for writing his or her article. After completion of the article, the writer then self-edits his or her work. Then, the work is turned in to the section head. They are responsible for making sure all facts in their work are correct.
Section Head: Each section head must collect the articles from the writers the day of the deadline and inform the editors-in-chief of any failures to meet deadlines. The section head is responsible for editing the articles to publishable quality.
Editor-in-Chief: The editor-in-chief is responsible for making sure all articles are correctly edited and worthy of being published. The editor-in-chief is responsible for making sure all work meets the standard that is demanded of the paper's staff. The editor-in-chief is also responsible for setting an agenda for every meeting and informing the staff whenever a vote will occur. The editor-in-chief will check for bias in the articles as well as make any necessary corrections. After editing, the article will go to the sponsor for final review. Editor-in-chief is also responsible for layout.
There are also positions that a Kerygma staff member may have without being a writer:
